Qiqihar Medical University

Qiqihar Medical University (QMU)was founded in 1946，located in Qiqihar, a city well-known for the elegant red-crowned cranes. With time going, QMU has been the center for medical education, research and clinical treatment in northwest of Heilongjiang Province.

QMU has total area of 986,000 square meters with construction area of 238,000 square meters. QMU has organized 8 schools and faculties, established 6 affiliated hospitals, and developed 25 teaching &practice hospitals, 2 practice bases and 4 schools for practicing. The hospitals can serve 14,884 beds for patients.

QMU offers 11 programs for bachelor degree, including Clinical Medicine, Psychiatric Medicine, Medical Laboratory Medicine, Medical Imageology, Preventive Medicine, Stomatology, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Nursing, Applied Psychology (Medical direction), and Public Health Administration.

QMU has cooperated with Chita National Medical College (Russia) in running schools, developed the scientific research project with Eastern Siberia Technical and Scientific University(Russia), developed program for nurses working in Japanese hospitals with Japanese EBIHARA Medical Group .QMU has built friendship bridges with many academic institutes in the world such as Kanazawa Medical University(Japan), Medical College of Texas University(America).
