Liuji, party secretary of NWNU, visited Moldova and Turkey during May 4-11.

During his stay in Moldova, Liuji visited Liberal International University of Moldova (LIUM), and discussed with the students from the Faculty of Chinese Language, answered their questions of scholarship application for study in NWNU. Liuji and LIUM president signed an agreement of co-establishing the “Confucius Institute of LIUM”, and Ambassador Shi Zhuanglong of Chinese Embassy in Moldova attended the signing ceremony.

The Confucius Institute of LIUM is the second overseas Confucius Institute established by NWNU after the Confucius Institute of University of Khartoum in Sudan.

Liuji also visited Fathi University located in Istanbul City of Turkey, discussed with president of the university and with teachers and students from the Faculty of Chinese Language.
